Recent scientific studies have shown that the Dung Beetle navigates using the Milky Way, they can orientate themselves to the bright stripe of light from our galaxy and move in a line relative to this line of light. Dung Beetles have a habit of standing on top of their ball of dung, it is now believed that they are actually getting their bearings from the sky before moving on.
