Animal Facts – Ants have colonized the world more than any other animal, there are more than 12 000 species worldwide and it is estimated that there are 100 Trillion ants worldwide. Ant colonies are at a constant state of war, when soldier ants attack another colony, they take the eggs, when these eggs hatch they become slaves. Ants dont have ears or lungs, they “hear” by feeling vibrations from the ground and breath through tiny holes that are all over their body. An ant can lift 20 times its own body weight.
